Church and reception venue are SET!

We have been extremely busy running around since we have been in SC for the holidays, and are proud to say that we have reserved our church and reception venue for our wedding!! Also, BIG SHOUT OUT to my parents for rearranging their schedules to view places and help make our wedding day perfect!

The ceremony will be held at Buncombe Street United Methodist's Chapel downtown which is also my mom's church; it is quaint and perfect! We will be married by my dad's pastor of Simpsonville First Baptist, Randy Harling, and my mom's pastor, Jerry Temple, of Buncombe Street United Methodist. We feel very fortunate to have both of them take part in our wedding. The reception will be held at the Peace Center's Huguenot Loft, which is absolutely beautiful. Both the church and the reception are in downtown Greenville and in walking to distance to multiple hotels, which we are looking into. We have found that some of the hotels are actually less expensive if you are a government employee, or AAA member, than the "wedding rate." Here is what we've found thus far regarding hotels downtown:

The Courtyard Marriott: Starting at $209/night -- directly across the street from the reception venue, newest hotel in Greenville.

The Westin Poinsett -- Wedding rate is $149/night -- BEAUTIFUL hotel, a couple of blocks away from the festivities.

The Hampton Inn -- Starting at $149/night for government employees -- great location.

The Hyatt -- Starting at $82/night for government employees -- the furthest away of the hotels (approximately 6 or 7 blocks away from the festivities which is still relatively close and in walking distance).

Will let you know when we have more information!
